Sometimes Science Just Takes It Too Far

Alright so I was shown an article by a few friends that there was a new protein discovered in the human body. This new protein was named Pikachurin, after the pokemon Pikachu because:

“The “Pikachurin” protein plays a role in the efficient transmission of kinetic vision information from the eyes to the brain, so the researchers named the protein after the Pokémon character known for its fast moves.”
